Federated Suns Dossier: Captain Thomas Nash

1st Davion Guards Dossier

Type: Dropship Commander

Name:  Thomas Nash

Callsign: Lone Wolf

Unit: 1st Davion Guards

Dropship: Union Class (3055 upgrade)

Status: Operation Bulldog, Port Arthur

Graduate of "The Warriors Hall" on New Syrtis, Captain Thomas Nash originally intended to be a Mechwarrior.  He was 6'4 at 18 when he entered the Hall and continued growing until he reached his current height of 6'11" when he graduated in 3025.  Short of being assigned an Atlas class Battlemech, Nash has outgrown the ability to be comfortable in the cockpit of a battlemech.

Captain Nash offering constructive criticism to a new member of his crew.
Being a promising officer, he was put back into school for Dropship command, figuring that a Dropship bridge would be spacious enough to accommodate the large man.  Nash's disappointment with not being in a Battlemech on the front lines comes out from time to time.  Those close to him know he is just venting and that his laid back personality will return in short order.

By the time Nash was 30 he was commanding his own dropship called "The Lone Wolf".  He is a veteran of the 4th Succession war and the War of 3039.

The Lone Wolf was badly damaged in 3039, and was lucky to be sent to New Avalon for repairs and reassigned to the 1st Davion Guards.  Nash and the Lone Wolf remained on New Avalon during the Clan Invasion, being held in reserve like the rest of the 1st Davion Guards.  In 3055 The Lone Wolf was selected by the New Avalon Institute of Science for an overhaul.  All of her targeting and weapon systems were upgraded.  She was assigned to transport the 7th Company of the 1st Davion Guards as part of Operation Bulldog.

Captain Nash can be a little rough around the edges at times, acting more like a Non-Comissioned Officer than an academy graduate.  Nash has turned down promotions to command Jumpships and even a recent offer for a first officers post on one of the new Federated Suns Frigates.  He figures that that The Lone Wolf is 13 member in the company of Battlemechs she carries.  "She may not walk that fast, but you should see her Jump!" Nash jokes.  His prior battlemech training and experience in two campaigns makes him a valuable asset to any unit that has been assigned to The Lone Wolf.  Nash figures that Operation Bulldog will be his last campaign after which he will return to New Syrtis to become an instructor at "The Warrior's Hall".

Smoke Jaguar Dossier: Kumiko

Smoke Jaguar Dossier

Type: Bondswoman

Name: Kumiko (formerly Kumiko Matusuzaka)

Rank:  Technician (Former Mechwarrior)

Last know location: Port Arthur

Former Tsi-i (Captain) in the First Sword of the Light, Kumiko Matsuzaka (now to the Jaguars just known as Kumiko) was taken Bondswoman by the Star Colonel Giambi of the Smoke Jaguars.  She had remained behind as part of a token defense force left to slow the Smoke Jags as they took Port Arthur.  When she and her lance were all that was left of that force they decided to go underground.  She had hid their mechs at the family farm Kumiko had grown up on.  They then attempted to hide in the nearby city of Kobe, blending into the local population.

A Smoke Jaguar loyalist discovered the mechwarriors true identities, and informed the local Smoke Jaguar officials.  After numerous unsuccessful attempts to catch the fugitives, Star Colonel Giambi set a trap that captured the other three mechwarriors of Kumiko's unit.  Seeing her unit about to be executed, Kumiko revealed herself and took one of Giambi's fellow Elementals hostage using a Vibro-katana.  She demanded that her unit be released in exchange for her hostage, but Giambi refused.  She then took a page from the Clanners style and challenged the Star Colonel to an unaugmented duel (Meaning no weapons or armor).  She attempted to set the terms of the duel, but the Star Colonel would have none of it.  The Star Colonel knew how highly Draconis Combine warriors valued personal honor.  His terms were if he won, the she and her unit would become loyal bondsmen vowing on their personal honor, If she were to win, then her unit would be freed, but she would remain a prisoner of the Jaguars.

Their dual was brief, but lasted longer then many of the Jaguar Elementals that were watching expected it to take.  Many of them had received beating from Giambi as part of their training, and knew what a capable combatant he was.  Kumiko could only dodge the genetically engineered warrior for so long before a right cross connected stunning her ever so briefly, just long enough for Giambi to grab hold of her.  She broke his nose in her attempts to escape, but the vice like grip of the Elemental remained locked.  He easily manuvered her, using his three to one weight advantage, into a submission hold.  He then in turn, looking each of them in the eye, asked for the loyalty of her lancemates on their honor as warriors.  They all complied.  Then he asked her for her loyalty to the Jaguar.  Her reply was simple.

"So long as no harm comes to my family, I will be a loyal servant of the Jaguars."  With that Giambi slammed her head to the concrete floor knocking Kumiko out.  Then standing over her said.  "They are no longer your family Freebirth!  They are your Clan!"

It was a week before Kumiko awoke in the hospital to notice the three bondcords around her wrist.  Her service to the Jaguar had begun.  She and her lancemates were separated and she rarely saw any of them.

She was assigned as a Battlemech Technician for a Clan Mechwarrior named Joba.  Her days of piloting a Battlemech were over.  Years passes and she remained loyal to her oath, working hard to maintaining her bondmaster's battlemech.  She couldn't help but chuckle as Joba fell out of favor with his commanding officer and was assigned a Hunchback IIC as his Battlemech.  The Mech in the eyes of clanners was reserved for dezgra mechwarriors.  To Inner Sphere mechjocks that mech would is one of the scariest to come across on a battlefield.

Smoke Jaguar Dossier: Star Colonel Giambi

Star Colonel Giambi at the Smoke Jags Mixed Military Station
Smoke Jaguar Dossier

Type: Military Personnel (Elemental)

Name: Giambi

Rank:  Star Colonel

Last know location: Port Arthur

Star Colonel Giambi is the highest ranking elemental on Port Arthur.  Intel shows he was once part of ilKhan Lincon Osis battle armor squad.

Giambi is a master tactician, training his "Toads" to anticipate where the enemy will be and station themselves in the proper position to strike.

The Star Colonel is stickler for physical fitness for all those under his command.  When not behind the command desk or on the target range, Giambi can be found in the weight room or on the training field.  He has been know to take detailed notes on each of his subordinates.  Never far from his datapad, the Star Colonel tracks each warriors progress and compares it to past marks set.  Doing so keeps those under his command in peak fitness.  His is always quick to offer guidance on nutritional supplements that will improve a warriors capabilities.
Star Colonel Giambi was part of both actions on Tukayyid and Luithen.  His squad was the second to land on Tukayyid, and eliminated at least three ComGuard Assault Mechs.  On Luthien an equipment failure kept him from reaching the front lines, before the Jaguars began their retreat.

Star Colonel Giambi has yet to secure a bloodname.  He has finished second at the bloodname contest no fewer than five times.  Giambi is now starting to pass his prime. He may be overly aggressive in battle, in an attempt to prove to his fellow Jaguars he is still a capable warrior.

Smoke Jaguar Dossier: Star Commander Zimmer

Smoke Jaguar Dossier

Type: Military Personnel

Name: Zimmer

Rank:  Star Commander (Former Star Colonel)

Last know location: Port Arthur

Star Commander Zimmer is an anomaly for the Jaguar forces in the Inner sphere.  Normally a Jaguar warrior of his years would have been shipped back to their homeworld of Huntress to train sibkos of future Jaguar warriors.  We are unsure as to why Zimmer is still on the front lines.
Man O War Prime

Once a Star Colonel, age may finally be catching up to Zimmer.  His last known action was on Luthien the Draconis Combine capital.  His cluster was engaged with some 1st Sword of the Light Kurita forces.  The Star Colonel had exhausted the ammo in his Man O’ War prime.  He was driven to the point of rage after watching one Combine mech eliminate no fewer than three of his Command Star with Gauss Rifle shots to their heads.  The Tai-i(Captain) Pedro Martinez  of the 1st Sword of the Light was the mechwarrior who had dispatched the three clan warriors.
Dragon Fire DRG-3F

Star Colonel Zimmer charged at the 75 ton Dragon Fire piloted by Martinez.  Martinez easily side stepped the Man O’ War, letting the 80 ton Clan machine stumble and fall on its face.  Jaguar forces had followed the charging Zimmer, thinking he was challenging what they thought was the best mechwarrior on the field that day.  But when they saw he had attempted physical combat, the Star Colonel lost most of his remaining respect from the other Jaguar warriors.

He was demoted two ranks after Luthien to Star Commander.  He is believed to be commanding a star of bondsmen in Inner sphere mechs.  He is most likely assigned to garrisoning minor facilities, until he can be shipped back to Huntress.

From Battle reports from both Tukayyyid and Luthien, Star Commander Zimmer favors light Autocannons, and tends to engage from long range.  The range of the clan weapons keep him out of reach from return fire from most of his opponents.
