Mission #9: Killboard and Mech Selection order

Great Job Men!  That is how focused fire works.  Well Done!

First up the Killboard.
Everyone gets One Kill for securing the firebase, and one kill for damage done to the clanners.  Fab gets and extra half kill for doing enough damage to Drop the Schrek tank by himself.  Scott gets 1/4 kill for being the only guy who lost his mech outright.

And the current mech roster.
(OOC: If you have a yellow area next to your name, You have some options.)

Mitch, Kyle, Jay, Fab and Scott.  You all hit 15 kills after this battle.  I dropped your piloting down to a 4.  You all can choose an "Elite" class skill as well (or one of the lower class skills if you want).

Lee and Jeff.  You hit 10 kills.  I dropped your Gunnery to a 3.  You each can choose a "Veteran" class skill.

Mech Selection order....
  1. Mitch
  2. Kyle
  3. Jay
  4. Fab
  5. Scott
  6. Larry
  7. Dereck
  8. Lee
  9. Jeff
  10. Gregg
  11. Derek
  12. Dave
We managed to salvage 2 mechs from the battle.  An undamaged Mad Cat A, and a Shogun C, you can see their stats in the links below.

Shogun C
Mad Cat

The Rifleman IIC lost it's head and is too much for Furlow to get up and running quickly.  The only Mech that could not be repaired was Scott's Warhammer, so he is the only one without a ride currently.  Yes, Jeff and Dereck your mechs are back up and running.  The Davion techs were so happy with the Battle armor that you captured they supplied us with enogh Ultra AC10's to get Derek's Kraken up and running again.  Mitch if you want the Furlow can swap your Atlas-K for the Atlas C3Slave version.

Now for the low down on the final mission.  Yep I said Final.  Short version...3 divisions of Kurita troops have landed in the northern hemisphere and have all but wiped out the Jags up there.  Turns out Operation Bulldog is going so well for us, that the Smoke Jags have decided to pull out of the Inner Sphere all together.
Our Job is to try an catch the Commanders at the Starport before they can escape in their Broadsword class dropship.  Yeah you guys will be facing a super elite star of clan assault mechs and a Dropship.  The details on that will come later.  Just wanted to let you know what you would be facing before you did your mech selections...

Available mechs Mad Cat A, Shogun C

Your Pick Mitch.

Mission #8: Killboard and Mech Selection order

Great Job Men!  You pushed the Clanners back out of the city, achiving all the objectives.  We did lose Mechwarrior "Scrapper" to an ERPPC headshot from Star Captain Teixeira.  With the firepower you guys faced, I'm thankful we didn't lose more.

First up the Killboard. This is it set in stone, don't like it too bad.  Kills are awarded for bold actions, doing or saying something that makes most or everyone in the room laugh, and whenever I feel like it.  Anyways here it is for Mission #8.

And the current mech roster.  Command will be sending us a replacement for Scrapper.
(OOC: If you have a yellow area next to your name, You have some options.

Mitch and Jeff: If you get me a dossier (name, brief story and image of your character) The extra kill will bump you up a level for an additional skill.
The two D's
Dereck: Need you to select your Veteran skill...if you want you can take a 3rd Regular skill.
Derek: Need your two regular skills, and a callsign.
Can't release the updated mech list until I get your skills...)

More OOC:  The only Blue Falcon that got a kill was Derek...who already had the top selection spot due to Dead Mechwarrior Rule.

Mech Selection order....
1) Derek (Dead Mechwarrior Rule)
2) Mitch
3) Kyle
4) Jay
5) Fab
6) Scott
7) Larry
8) Dereck
9) Lee
10) Gregg
11) Jeff
12) Dave

So here we are...Skill guys, pick your skills.  Once I have your skills I'll release the Kurita mechs and the salvage you got.

For the record, the Diakyu, Crockett and StarSlayer were all scrapped.  The Hunchback IIC is being repaired and will be available for the next match.

The Combine is offering us a boat load of c3 mechs if we take that route.  They are also willing to swap our current mechs Chassis for an upgraded version.  So when it comes time to pick I'll list the possible upgrades to your current mech for you.  Then you will have to tell me either your pick of the Kurita mechs or the variant upgrade you would want, or if you just want to stay in your current mech.

Example: Mitch's pick and he likes the Atlas,  Kurita has 3 upgrades available to the Atlas.  One with a C3Master, One with a C3Slave and a 3050 variant that updates the weaponry.  If Mitch doesn't want one of the mechs Kurita gives him, he can take the upgrade instead, or he can stay in the 3025 version (the only one with a standard engine).

Mission #7: Killboard, Roster and Mech Selection order

Well done boys!  That was a close one, you managed to drop both Clan Stars at a pretty high price. Maverick will be missed, but the stand he made in his Penetrator against Star Captain Gehrig in his Warhammer IIC was epic.  It was unfortunate he was under that bridge when his ammo cooked off triggering his ejection.

First up the Killboard. This is it set in stone, don't like it too bad.  Kills are awarded for bold actions, doing or saying something that makes most or everyone in the room laugh, and whenever I feel like it.  Anyways here it is for Mission #7.

And the current mech roster.  Command will be sending us a replacement for Maverick.  (OOC: If you have a yellow area next to your name, you need to let me know what you would like added or changed.  Meaning, Larry, Scott and Fab...Do you want the 3 gunnery or maybe drop your piloting by 2.  Also Larry and Scott I need your veteran skill from the skill page.  You may take a 3rd regular skill if you wish...dunno why but you never know.  Likewise Fab, need your three skills.  I need the skills BEFORE I release the list of new mechs you will be getting, so please get picking.  Email me your selections or reply to the blog.  Also Dereck, if you write up your character dossier you can bump up to 10 kills and have all the benefits...3 gunnery, and 3rd skill.)

More OOC:  We had 5 players help me push Smoke Jaguar mechs, but I didn't keep track of how many player kills those guys got...so to be fair I'm awarding 1 Blue Falcon award for each of those 5 (Mitch, Jay, Jeff, Gregg and Lee.)  So when we have the new mechs...here is the selection order.

1) Mitch (Blue Falcon, jumps over Fab)
2) Fab (Dead Mechwarrior rule)
3) Jay (Tied with Kyle...tie breaker goes to Kyle with more kills in the last mission, but Jay uses BF)
4) Kyle
5) Scott
6) Larry
7) Dereck
8) Gregg (BF over Derek)
9) Jeff  (BF over Derek...ouch)
10) Lee (BF over Derek...ummm, wow)
11) Derek (who must be sore)

So here we are...Skill guys, pick your skills and then I'll tell you what new mechs command is shipping us.

Mission #6: Killboard, Mechbay, Roster and Mech Selection order

First up the Killboard. This is it set in stone, don't like it too bad.  Kills are awarded for bold actions, doing or saying something that makes most or everyone in the room laugh, and whenever I feel like it.  Anyways here it is for Mission #6.

It was asked what the heck Aggressive play means.  Well it is a tool I use to help catch players up to the others, or to give some points where a player may not have earned any.  But to earn it you must play aggressively...meaning no falling back, or hiding behind a building.  Goes back to my Battletech is a long enough game don't make it longer than it needs to be speech that you all have heard many times.

Next up are the Mech losses.  Players lost a freakin lot.  Dragon Fire, Maelstrom, Peregrine, Komodo, Grand Dragon.  The Crab was also too badly damaged to repair and was shipped back to command.

Command has given us a garrison duty while we review our latest action.  We got some pretty sweet rides to use as we Defend the HPG we took from the Nova Cats.  Our new mechs are:
Marauder, Penetrator, Crusader, Grasshopper, Thunderbolt, Warhammer, Rifleman, and a Catapult.  Furlow has also taken the c3Slave out of the Venom and added back the Medium pulse laser, making it the 9K version were we don't have a C3Master to link it to at the moment.

New look of the Mech Bays with all the changes.

Mechwarrior Roster after Mission #6

Jay, you reached 10 kills, so I lowered your gunnery, you also have a skill choice from the regular or veteran skills.

Fab and Larry, you guys are within 1 kill of your 10th.  You also have yet to turn in a Character Dossier.  Turn one in and get the bonus kill bumping you to the next level essentially.  For your dossier to count, you must have a background story, (How you got into the Lucky 7th) plus a picture or two of what your guy looks like.

Derek, you hit 5 kills.  So you can lower your piloting by 1 if you wish or wait for 10 kills (like everyone else) and lower your gunnery.  You also get to chose a 2nd skill from the regular skills list.

Here is the mech selection order for Mission #7 (Hint, we will be using almost the exact same map, only you guys will be defending)

Mitch
Jay
Kyle
Fab
Larry
Scott
Jeff (Blue Falcon)
Dereck

Lee
Gregg

Mission #5: Killboard, Mechbay, Roster, and Mech Selection order

First up the Killboard. This is it set in stone, don't like it too bad.  Kills are awarded for bold actions, doing or saying something that makes most or everyone in the room laugh, and whenever I feel like it.  Anyways here it is for Mission #5.

Next up are the Mech losses.  Players lost...Firefly C, Wolverine, Enforcer, Lineholder, Blackjack, Nightsky and a Wolf Trap.  Command also took the unused Koshi (without the clan weapons), Hollander, and the Shadow Hawk.

As promised, we got a new shipment of mechs to replace our losses.  Maelstrom, Dragon Fire, Venom, Daikyu, Komodo, Crab and a Grand Dragon.  We also were given a Peregrine clan mech from our Nova Cat allies.

New look of the Mech Bays with all the changes.

  Mechwarrior Roster after mission #5

Mitch and Kyle, you guys have reached 10 kills. So you can lower your gunnery by 1 if you wish.  You also get another skill which can be chosen from the regular or veteran skill pools.

Jeff, Gregg, and Lee.  You guys can choose your second regular skill (2 skills for your new guy Jeff).  You also can to choose if you want to spend the 5 kills to improve their piloting or wait til they have 10 kills to improve their gunnery (Like Kyle and Mitch are did).

Here is the mech selection order for Mission #6

Mission #4: Killboard, Salvage, Mechbay and Roster

First up the Killboard. This is it set in stone, don't like it too bad.  Kills are awarded for bold actions, doing or saying something that makes most or everyone in the room laugh, and whenever I feel like it.  Anyways here it is for Mission #4.

Next up are the Mech losses.  Players lost a Wyvern.  The Raven was also scrapped due to Furlow not being able to repair all the high tech items with the loss of the head.  At the request of HQ the Raven scrap and the Howler battlemech were sent back.  Not all bad news, I was able to get them to shop a 150 rated standard fusion engine, that gets us the Firefly C up and running.

We were sent a batch of replacement mechs as well.  Lots of new Steiner mechs.  When they said all the houses would be throwing their full production capabilities behind this invasion, they weren't kidding.   They sent us a Hollander, StarSlayer, Bushwacker and Nightsky.

New look of the Mech Bays with all the changes.

  Mechwarrior Roster after mission #3

Jeff, Josh, Scott and Jay will need to pick their skill from the mechwarrior skill list.  They also need to choose with they want to spend the 5 kills to improve their piloting or wait til they have 10 kills to improve their gunnery.

Rules for Mechwarriors killed in the game.  Your "new" mechwarrior will start with 5 fewer kills than the guy that just died (with a minimum of 0).  All your actions up to the point of your death will be counted in your kill total.  So Poe got the kill for the Spider added to his kill total before croakin'.

Here is the mech selection order for mission #4 (Corrected)

Jay (Dead Mechwarrior Rule)
Mitch
Kyle
Larry
Jeff
Scott (more games tiebreaker)
Josh
Fab (more games tiebreaker)
Dereck
Gregg
Derek
Lee

Finally the Clan salvage board.  Got quite a few good mechs just missing a n item or two.

That's all for now...

Mission #3: Killboard, Salvage, Mechbay and Roster

First up the Killboard. This is it set in stone, don't like it too bad.  Kills are awarded for bold actions, doing or saying something that makes most or everyone in the room laugh, and whenever I feel like it.  Anyways here it is for Mission #3.

Next up are the Mech losses.  Players lost a Jenner and a Phoenix Hawk.  So Zippy and Maverick are mechless at this time.
Now there is more.  Captain Nash was able to get the Dropship comms working again.  We have contact with Command and control.  Turns out that the battles up North are not going so well for us.  They have a an abundance of Medium mechs, but are lacking fast moving scouts.  Command is sending us a dropship with the following.
Wolverine WVR-7D, Lineholder KW1-2D, Enforcer ENF-5D, Blackjack BJ1-DB, Centurion CN9-A, Jagermech JM6-DD, Koshi Engine, one Clan ER Medium Laser (The last two will let us build up a nasty Koshi variant).

We however have to give up the following mechs...Vulcan, Javelin, Sentinel, Clint, Hermes II, Hornet, Locust, Wasp, and the Assassin we just salvaged.  They wanted the Raven and Wolf Trap too, but I told them to get bent.

New look of the Mech Bays with all the changes.

  Mechwarrior Roster after mission #3

Jeff, Mitch, Kyle, Josh, Dereck and Larry will need to pick their second regular bonus skill from the mechwarrior skill list.  They also need to choose with they want to spend the 5 kills to improve their piloting or wait til they have 10 kills to improve their gunnery.

Here is the mech selection order for mission #4 (Corrected)
Poe
Zombie
Zippy
Pillsbury
Hetzer
Caster

Mission #2: Killboard, Salvage, Mechbay and Roster

First up the Killboard. This is it set in stone, don't like it too bad.  Kills are awarded for bold actions, doing or saying something that makes most or everyone in the room laugh, and whenever I feel like it.  Anyways here it is for Mission #2.
Click for larger image
Next up are the Mech losses.  Players lost a Panther, Whitworth and Valkyrie.  So Josh, Poe and Caster are are mechless at this time.

We didn't get any salvage from this mission but there is quite a bit of good news.  First the Bad news, Merloni wasn't forthcoming on his injuries from the dropship crash.  Turns our he has a broken leg, and a pretty bad concussion, without proper medical facilities he won;t be piloting a mech for quite a while.  That puts the Raven in our Mech Bay.

Next up, Tech Juan Manillo is quite the weapons expert.  Turns out he worked in an AC factory before becoming a mech tech.  He was able to piece together an Clan Ultra AC2, from the parts of the 11 Ultra AC2's we faced in the first battle.  That along with the other clan salvage, and the Koshi cockpit that Maverick grabbed means we can add a Koshi D to our Mechbay at this time.

Finally the best news of all.  While you were on mission, Viper was approached by a the heads of a couple of local cattle farming families.  As Port Arthur was being over run in 3050 by the Smoke Jags there was a Kuritan lance of the 1st Sword of the light that trapped on world.  They hid their mechs in the barns of the Okajima and Matsuzaka farms.  The Mechwarriors were later captured by the Smoke Jags, but the mechs were never found.  They have sat there for almost 10 years.  The Matsuzaka and Okajima families have no love for their Smoke Jaguar oppressors, and while they are not thrilled about handing over the mechs to a Davion unit, they see this as the best chance to strike at the Jaguars.  They may smell a little ripe, but they will help us take the fight to the Jags.  We now have a Phoenix Hawk, Shadow Hawk, Wolf Trap and Wyvern...four solid medium mechs added to the mech bay.

  Mechwarrior Roster after mission #2

Poe and Josh need to pick their second regular bonus skill from the mechwarrior skill list.  They also need to choose with they want to spend the 5 kills to improve their piloting or wait til they have 10 kills to improve their gunnery.

Here is the mech selection order for mission #3 (Corrected)
Poe
Josh
Jeff - Lower tonnage current mech tiebreaker
Caster - Bumped up two spots for two player kills (Blue Falcon Rule)
Pillsbury
Mitch
Viper

Maverick
Larry

Mission #1: Killboard, Lost Mechs and Salvage

First up the Killboard. This is it set in stone, don't like it too bad.  Kills are awarded for bold actions, doing or saying something that makes most or everyone in the room laugh, and whenever I feel like it.  Anyways here it is for Mission #1.

Next up are the Mech losses.  Players lost a Cicadia to Xl engine loss, Stinger to CT destruction, Commando to Engine destruction, Commando to ammo explosion, and Commando to CT destruction.  So Kyle, Jeff, Josh, Larry and Fab are mechless at this time.

Good news is we got some good salvage.  The Jenner, Hermes II, and Whitworth are all salvageable, and will be ready for the next mission.  The Koshi was a loss, as was the Ostscout, but we did get a Clan ER Meduim laser and Clan ER small laser out of the wreckage.  Turns out the Clanners had two more mechs in the mechbays, guess they didn't have enough bondsmen around to pilot them.  Seems they were left over from when Kurita controlled this base.  We got a Panther 9R, and a Sentinel 3M.  Both solid mechs and have been added to our mechbay.  With the Mech repair facility we captured...Furlow will have the damaged mechs up and running in 3 or 4 days tops.

Tech readouts on our new mechs...
Sentinel 3M - http://www.solaris7.com/TRO/HTMLBattleMech/BattlemechInfo.asp?ID=639
Panther 9R - http://www.solaris7.com/TRO/HTMLBattleMech/BattlemechInfo.asp?ID=535

I'll be in touch with each of you shortly about selecting your mech for the next mission.

Well Done.
